Alfreton Town have snapped up ex-Chesterfield midfielder Jordan Sinnott.
Sinnott has signed a one-year deal with the National League North club after recently leaving the Spireites.
The son of Lee Sinnott, who now manages Gainsborough Trinity, Jordan had joined Chesterfield in June 2017 on a two-year contract but was deemed surplus to requirements by new manager Martin Allen.
Alfreton boss Billy Heath said of his new signing:
“Jordan is pure quality; he is a central midfielder at the highest level. He is great on the ball and I had him at Halifax during the promotion campaign and he was outstanding.
“He was an integral part of that team and scored nine times. He is good on the ball, has a great delivery from set-pieces and crosses in general.
“Jordan is a good all-round footballer and can score goals from midfield. He is a fantastic signing for us, another strong addition to the squad and we are delighted to have him here at Alfreton.
“He brings more quality to us.”
