Atherton Collieries have announced the signing of forward Connor Gaul.
Gaul joins from Gibraltarian second division side FC Bruno’s Magpies, where he spent the second half of last season. He counts Kendal Town, Colne and AFC Darwen amongst his former clubs.
Michael Clegg’s side, who finished 10th in the Evo-Stik North last season, have also recently added defender Ian Rowlands to the ranks.
The recent Clitheroe captain told the Atherton club website:
“Atherton Colls are a club I have a massive amount of respect for and always been a club I have kept a close eye on. I have played against Colls many times and they have always been one of my toughest opponents.”
“For me it is an exciting opportunity given the progress the club has made and it was an easy decision after speaking with Cleggy about his plans for the season. I’m really looking forward to getting going and hope I can make a really positive contribution to the club.”
