Shrewd Nikki Bull proclaimed in-form Leatherhead have “a front four as good as anything in the league” after Saturday’s sixth straight win in all competitions, at Bishop’s Stortford.
The Tanners chief’s early October prophecy that his team would climb the Isthmian League Premier Division table has come true.
But he refuses to get carried away with a remarkable improvement in results – brought about by a refinement in defence and in his team’s new-found ability to score goals more freely.
“I’ll be honest, not much has changed in terms of performance,” said Bull. “We knew at the start of the season we were a striker light and that was my fault.
“Now we have so many attacking options.”
