Michael Chambers is disappointed with Wrexham’s points tally after three games but the centre-back is convinced the Reds have enough quality in the squad to turn things around.
Bryan Hughes’ side began the season with a 2-1 win against Barrow before squandering a 2-0 lead at Boreham Wood and having to settle for a 2-2 draw, the hosts scoring an injury time equaliser.
Worse was to come against Dover on Saturday as Mark Harris put Wrexham ahead but after Bobby Grant was sent off, the Whites scored twice in the second half to condemn the Reds to a first defeat of the season.
Four points from a possible nine is not the start Chambers was looking for but the summer signing believes Wrexham can get back on track with victory over early leaders Halifax Town at The Racecourse this evening.
“At the start of the season we set how many points we want to get from these first few games and we haven’t quite met that which is why the boys are disappointed,” said Chambers.
