Chelmsford City sign experienced Football League midfielder Billy Knott.
Knott, 26, started his youth career with West Ham United in 2005 and also featured for the youth systems of Chelsea and Sunderland. He went on to make one appearance in the Premier League with Sunderland, coming on as a substitute against Tottenham Hotspur in 2013.
Whilst with Sunderland, the midfielder went on loan four times to AFC Wimbledon, Woking, Wycombe Wanderers and Port Vale.
After leaving Sunderland, Knott signed for Bradford City for two years before also plying his trade with Gillingham, Lincoln City and Rochdale.
At the beginning of the current campaign, Knott signed for hometown club Concord Rangers and was appointed captain.
