Burnley new boy Joel Senior believes he is at the right club to progress and that is up to him to make the most of his opportunity, Lancs Live report.
The teenager signed for the Clarets last week from non-league side Curzon Ashton and will link up with Steve Stone’s Under-23 side.
Senior, who has penned a one-year deal with the option of a further 12 months, was released by Oldham at 15 and has fought his way up the pyramid after spells with Maine Road, FC United and Curzon.
And, after rekindling his dream to become a professional footballer, he is now ready to grab his chance at Turf Moor.
“I want this more than I’ve wanted anything before,” he said.
“I’ve been told what Burnley want me to do and I just have to follow that and hopefully someone believes me in there and I can have a career there.
He added: “I want to secure my place in the 23s, improve and hopefully one day if I get the chance to go as high as I can and get in the first team, that’s everyone’s aim.”
