Manager Neil Reynolds has strengthened his FC United squad by bringing in two new loan players.
Defenders Zehn Mohammed (18) and Billy Sass-Davies (18) join on loan from league clubs.
Blackburn-born central defender Mohammed has joined from Accrington Stanley. He signed a two-year professional contract with Accrington Stanley in March 2017. In December 2017 he had an extended loan period at Ramsbottom and was voted their player of the month in January 2018.
In September 2018 he went out on a month’s loan with Clitheroe where he made 8 appearances. In December 2018 he joined Southport on a month’s loan making one appearance for the Sandgrounders in their FA Trophy defeat at home to Solihull Moors. On his return to Accrington, the 18-year-old made his first team debut this week in their Checkatrade Trophy match at home to Bury on Tuesday 8th January 2019.
Central defender Billy Sass-Davies has joined from Crewe Alexandra. The Welsh under-19 international signed professional terms with Crewe in July 2017. After being on the substitutes bench for the opening five games of the season, he made his first team debut, aged 17, on 29 August 2017, in Crewe’s EFL Trophy group stage game against Newcastle United U21s at Gresty Road. Last season he enjoyed a productive loan spell at Colwyn Bay, and in November 2018 he joined Northern Premier League side Leek Town also on loan.
