The 28-year-old, versatile midfielder has well over 230 appearances for The Moors under his belt after helping the club rise into the National League.

He was with MK Dons as a youngster before being picked up by Leicester City where he progressed well through the ranks before moving on to Kettering Town and then Solihull, where he became an extremely popular figure and skippered the team to the National League North title.

"He knows all about what it takes to win this League, as he did with Solihull," said manager Tommy Wright. "He will add vital experience and is another technically gifted and intelligent footballer to add to the group.

"He can score goals, create chances and is a dead-ball specialist. On top of that, he is a top lad who fits into what we are trying to do here.

"I can't wait to see him in a Boro shirt. He's a natural leader who will add a lot to the dressing room".

The 28-year-old has also played for Spalding, Stamford and Boston United.

"I'm delighted to be here and once the situation at Grimsby was made clear, there were some options for me," Pearson said.

"But this was the most appealing and we sorted it out nice and quickly."

Pearson is Wrexham manager Dean Keates' second signing of the close season following the arrival of versatile full-back James Hurst.

Cugley makes second addition to Invicta squad http://nonleaguedaily.com/latest-transfer-news/cugley-makes-second-addition-to-invicta-squad.html http://nonleaguedaily.com/latest-transfer-news/cugley-makes-second-addition-to-invicta-squad.html

The wide midfielder impressed Cugs with his performance for Sevenoaks Town in the Southern Counties East League Challenge Cup Final when they beat Sheppey United – including former Folkestone striker Richard Atkins – at Tonbridge’s Longmead Stadium on May 6.

Neil said: “I really liked what I saw from him that day. He’s also played for Chatham Town in the Ryman League and I’m looking forward to seeing how well he’ll do with at the higher level.

“He lives up in Medway and can travel down with Ade (Yusuff) who we signed a few weeks ago so hopefully that will work out well.

"He's got plenty of space and should enjoy playing on our big wide pitch at the Fullicks Stadium.

He added: “We are looking for players with experience at the higher levels, but we’ve done well with the likes of Harry Smith and Scott Heard who’ve both gone onto bigger things as well as Miles Cornwell and Sam Hasler who we signed from Division One South last season and both played their part in helping us stay in the Premier Division.”

Cugs is also hoping to sign a second midfield player that he met yesterday and is due to meet a experienced defender at the weekend.

He said: "We should have more news after the weekend. You can say that I'm fully focussed on bringing more players in while we do also expect to see more trialists involved in pre-season than we have had for quite some time."

Dieseruvwe joins the Ammies http://nonleaguedaily.com/latest-transfer-news/dieseruvwe-joins-the-ammies.html http://nonleaguedaily.com/latest-transfer-news/dieseruvwe-joins-the-ammies.html

The six-foot-five front-man started out with Sheffield Wednesday's academy, signing a professional contract with the Owls during the summer of 2013. Loan spells with then Conference National Hyde and Football League outfits Fleetwood Town and Chesterfield followed.

The last of these loan spells led to a permanent deal and Mani went on to play almost thirty first team games during his time at the Proact Stadium.

Another loan move followed, this time to Mansfield Town and during the summer of 2016 he moved to National League North Kidderminster Harriers. The Leeds born striker played for Harriers when they inflicted Salford's first defeat of the 2016-2017 season and was also in the side that lost the return match 3-0 at Moor Lane. Mani finished the campaign on loan to Boston United and lined up against the Ammies again as his new club recorded a 2-0 win at York Street.

Despite his height Mani started out as a midfielder but was increasingly used as a striker and can now operate as a traditional number 9 or in a deeper role.

Marshall leaves Alfreton for Curzon Ashton switch http://nonleaguedaily.com/latest-transfer-news/marshall-leaves-alfreton-for-curzon-ashton-switch.html http://nonleaguedaily.com/latest-transfer-news/marshall-leaves-alfreton-for-curzon-ashton-switch.html

Marshall, a central midfielder by trade, played a pivotal role in securing Alfreton's safety in the National League North last season, making twenty-five appearances in the 2016/2017 campaign.

Marshall is a prodigy of the Manchester City youth academy, and made his first professional appearance for Blackpool whilst on loan.

The Manchester-born midfielder has also appeared for Port Vale, Walsall and Rochdale, whilst gaining vast amounts of non-League experience with Droylsden, FC Halifax Town, Stockport County, Bradford Park Avenue and Alfreton.

His non-League experience will be essential for the Nash, as the club enters its third successive season in the National League North.

Manager John Flanagan said: "We are delighted to secure Paul. He is a quality footballer with a good background and has played loads of non-League in plenty of good sides.

"He will fit right in with the way that we play. He should suit us - and we should suit him."

Meanwhile, youth team captain Oliver Thornley, who broke into the first-team at the end of last season, has committed to Curzon for 2017/18 on senior forms.

A strong commanding intelligent footballing centre-back that the club hold in very high regards, Thornley’s challenge now is to establish himself as a first team regular.

He follows Joe Guest, who was the first player from last season`s squad to put pen-to-paper for the upcoming campaign.

The recent managers` player of the season, Guest is a focussed and determined player.

FC United bring in Hughes http://nonleaguedaily.com/latest-transfer-news/fc-united-bring-in-hughes.html http://nonleaguedaily.com/latest-transfer-news/fc-united-bring-in-hughes.html

Twenty-five-year-old Hughes started his career at Rochdale, before being spotted and taken to Glasgow Celtic where he captained their under-19 side.

He was with Celtic for two years before making the switch to Fleetwood Town in 2011, later to join Colwyn Bay on loan.

He then joined AFC Fylde in 2012, and featured in both league matches against FC United in the 2012/13 season.

At the start of the following season, he captained the Fylde side that drew 0-0 against FC United at Gigg Lane.

Hughes helped them win promotion to the Conference (National League) North, with Hughes voted young player of the year for the 2013/14 season.

At the end of 2013/14 Hughes signed for Stalybridge Celtic where he would go onto make 125 appearances over three seasons.

Hughes was on the scoresheet for Stalybridge against FC United in their 4-3 Manchester Cup win in 2015/16; and as Stalybridge’s captain, he played against FC United in the two league matches last season, scoring in the 2-2 draw at Broadhurst Park on 1st April 2017.

His last match for Stalybridge was against Chorley on 17th April, missing the remaining matches of the season through suspension.

Of Hughes, FC United manager Karl Marginson said: "Matty is a player I have been after for a while and at 25 years old is of the right age for us. He has good experience at this level and has excellent leadership and organisational skills that I’m sure will help him be a great addition to the squad".
