A meeting of potential Nuneaton Borough investors was held at Liberty Way yesterday, organised by Acting Chairman Jimmy Ginnelly.

Ginnelly said “It’s been well documented that the football club is very close to going out of business. A winding-up order has been issued by HMRC and there are other creditors who have sent debt collection agency to our door.

“We’re fighting fires on a daily basis but, despite this, the people present have shown a real desire and commitment to tackle the serious problems we are facing and save the Boro’. It was a positive meeting and we are now putting a plan together and I hope it will take us out of the worrying situation we’re in.

“It will not be easy, but we’re going to give it a go. These discussions are ongoing and a further statement will be issued in due course.”
