Bobby Grant says a teammate can take Wrexham’s next penalty but the striker won’t “shy away” if he is asked to continue spot-kick duties.
Grant missed his second successive penalty in Tuesday’s 1-1 home draw against Harrogate Town as he blasted his effort from 12 yards over the crossbar.
Having seen his last spot-kick saved in the stalemate with Sutton United last month, leading scorer Grant says it is somebody else’s turn to step up to the plate, although he won’t shirk responsibility.
“The penalty has got to go in,” said Grant. “It is black and white, you have got to score.
“I went for power and unfortunately it has missed.
“Bigger and better players have missed penalties, that is part of football.”
