Vanarama National League strugglers Guiseley have announced that chairman James Ferguson has stepped down.
Sean St Ledger’s team are in the midst of a relegation fight that they seem to have little chance of winning, with the Lions 14 adrift of safety with only six to play. The club posted the following statement on their website:
‘Guiseley AFC would like to announce that James Ferguson has stood down as Chairman of the club with immediate effect.
James, joined Guiseley AFC in June 2017, but the opportunity to set up his own company has prevented him from being able to dedicate the amount of time that the role requires.
Guiseley AFC wishes James all the best in his future venture.
The new Chairman will be announced in due course.’
