Harrogate Town have signed Barnsley winger Dylan Mottley-Henry on loan until the end of the season.
The 21-year-old trained with Town Thursday morning and will be available for this weekend’s trip to Dover, subject to the relevant FA and National League approval. Described as quick and tricky by his current employers, Mottley-Henry has experienced League Two and National League football while contracted to The Tykes, with loan spells at Tranmere Rovers and Chesterfield.
“He’s an exciting player full of pace and power, Barnsley think a lot of him so we are really pleased to get him.” Commented Town assistant manager Paul Thirlwell.
“He’s been out on loan to Tranmere already and helped them go up last season so hopefully he is going to come in and make a really positive contribution. We are upbeat and positive about the position we are in but to add that extra dimension to what is already a very strong squad is exciting for everyone.
“I think he’ll fit in well to the way we want to play, his difference is his out and out pace and power and hopefully he’s got that eye for a goal as well, adding that into the mix makes us stronger and improves that competition for places.”
