King’s Lynn Town have confirmed that they have released striker Valter Rocha by mutual consent.
Rocha was signed on a one-year deal last month but has found his chances limited at The Walks since his arrival. Before agreeing a deal with Lynn, the 27-year-old frontman had two spells with Thetford Town, scoring nine goals from 19 appearances in 2017-18 and two from two this campaign.
Rocha made one start and two substitute appearances with the club. On the release of the Angolan national, who played for a number of Portuguese clubs, joint-caretaker boss Robbie Back said: “Valter has been released from his contract.
“He wanted more playing time at the club but we couldn’t guarantee him that. We wish him all the best and thank him for his efforts while he was with the club.”
The Lynn interim management team of Neil Fryatt and Back took charge of their first training session last night ahead of Saturday’s Southern League Central Premier trip to Halesowen.
