Loughborough Dynamo have signed experienced defender Josh Eggington until the end of the season.
The former Gresley and Stamford full-back joins the club having started the campaign at Shepshed Dynamo.
Lee Attenborough is pleased to have got the transfer over the line and didn’t hesitate on the chance to bring Eggington to Loughborough.
“Really pleased. I’ve been chasing Josh for about the last year and a half,” the 29-year-old said.
“Not had much luck with him being at Stamford and sort of happy where he was and settled playing his football. The minute he became available, I didn’t hesitate to get on it and try and get him over the line.”
He continued: “He’s just a good all-round player. He’s a solid defender. He’ll compete physically. He’ll compete aerially.
“But he’s a very good footballer as well. So he’ll kind of fit into our style of play I’d imagine with no problems.
“As well as that, you need good lads in football and I’ve shared a dressing room with Josh before at a previous club; he’s a real top lad. On and off the pitch. He’ll be a good signing for us and it’s someone I’m looking forward to working with.”
