Surrey Live say at least three other players are set to follow former Brighton & Hove Albion forward Shamir Fenelon and Shots academy graduate Matt Bozier out the door this month after agreeing deals to end their Aldershot Town contracts early.

It was announced last Thursday that Fenelon, 24, and Bozier, 18, had agreed financial settlements to leave the EBB with immediate effect, with the duo taking part in training for the final time earlier that day.

And while it might seem a strange time in the season to make the decision, Shots boss Gary Waddock believes it is best for all parties.

“They have been injured for large parts of the season and so this gives them a chance to sort their futures out, and it saves a bit of money for the football club,” the manager said.
