Bamber Bridge boss Mick Taylor has urged his team not to rest on their laurels this evening when they face derby rivals Lancaster City, the Lancashire Post report.

Brig host the Dolly Blues at the Sir Tom Finney Stadium with the memory of Saturday’s superb 3-3 draw against NPL Premier Division title challengers South Shields still fresh in their minds.

Taylor’s men became the first side this season to take a point off the Mariners at home when they fought back from 3-1 down to earn a draw.

The result saw them move six points clear of the relegation zone, although they cannot afford to relax this evening.

“We are looking forward to the Lancaster game,” said Taylor.

“It’s going to be a tough game. It doesn’t matter if you are playing South Shields, who are top of the league, or Lancaster, who like ourselves are in and around it at the bottom, there are no easy games in this division.”
