Nuneaton Borough have continued their summer rebuild as Jimmy Ginnelly confirmed the signing of Luke Benbow.
The powerful Stourbridge striker, who scored 20 league goals for the Glassboys last season as they booked their place in the Southern League Central playoffs, joins for an undisclosed fee.
“I’ve tried to sign Luke on numerous occasions,” admitted Ginnelly, “but Luke’s always stayed loyal to his native Stourbridge.
“I’ve finally convinced Luke that a fresh challenge would do him the world of good. He’s listened to my ideas of how I want to take this sleeping giant of a club forward, and help us compete at the top of the league.”
“I’m so happy to join such a big club,” added Benbow. “My aim is to get the Boro’ back up into the higher leagues, where we belong.
“Jimmy’s sold me on his vision, and the signings he’s already announced, and the players he’s talking to are a fantastic quality. I can’t wait to get started. We have an exciting season to look forward to.”
