One of Nuneaton’s biggest football clubs has been forced to cancel a home game because of illegal travellers parked nearby, say Coventry Live.
Nuneaton Griff has been advised not to play Heath Hayes at their home ground – the Pingles – due to the encampment on the car park at the back of the stadium.
In a tweet posted on Twitter, the Griff says it has taken the advice to move the game.
“Because of travellers’ caravans parked by the entrance to the Pingles Stadium, Nuneaton Griff FC have been advised not to play there this coming Saturday and as a consequence the game against Heath Hayes will now be played as an away game at the Coppice Ground.”
