Paget Rangers manager Jason Lanns has left to take up the vacant managerial post at Midland Football League Premier Division side Heather St. John’s.

Lanns, who joined Paget Rangers in October 2014, guided Paget to a league and cup double in 2016/17 before establishing the Bears at Midland Football League Division 1 level, and leaves the club with a win rate in excess of 50% from his 208 competitive games in charge.

Paget Rangers chairman Matthew Dainty said: “Whilst we are all deeply saddened to see Jason leave, he leaves on good terms and with our best wishes for the future. We would like to thank him for his enthusiasm, dedication and passion throughout his time at the club, as well as for his immense efforts in establishing the football club at a level for which we can all be proud, whilst operating with no playing budget whatsoever.

“The progress, development and expansion of the club over the past few seasons is a testament to Jason and his backroom staff’s tenure and whoever follows in his footsteps will certainly have some big shoes to fill.”
