Subject to the usual formalities, midfielder Luke Holmes will be a Poole Town player from Friday and will go straight into the squad to face Harrow Borrow.

Although 7th in the table, Harrow sit two points behind the table-topping Dolphins with a game in hand.

Holmes proved his quality in newly-promoted Wimborne Town’s team last season and joins the Dolphins after deciding that the regime at Salisbury FC was not for him.

Manager Tom Killick has had a successful pre-season, signing Josh Carmichael and Harry Baker from Weymouth and Sam Jackson from Dorchester. Killick also negotiated season-long loan deals for Ollie Dennett (Havant & Waterlooville) and Jake Cope (AFC Bournemouth).
