In the second major sponsorship deal of the summer, Hartlepool United have announced the agreement of a deal with The Prestige Group, owned by club chairman Raj Singh, to sponsor the Cyril Knowles Stand at Victoria Park.

Chief executive Mark Maguire told the club website: “I’m thrilled that we have agreed another stand sponsorship and that we can help promote the Prestige brand at the stadium. Clearly the Chairman has been instrumental in ensuring the club continues into its 110th year and this further commitment supports our commercial activity with a national brand who will demand commercial value for their sponsorship investment.

“We set ourselves a target of selling the major sponsorships available this summer and to sell a second stand sponsorship in a matter of days is a big statement of our commercial intent.”

The deal follows East Durham College’s branding of the Mill House Stand, which was named in honour of former Pools boss Neale Cooper, who recently passed away.
