Eastleigh have announced the signing of Polish goalkeeper Max Stryjek on loan from Sunderland.

The 22-year-old shot stopper has joined the club on an initial one-month loan. Stryjek moved to Sunderland in 2014 after spending 7 years at Polonia Warsaw in his home country.

The 6ft 2in ‘keeper is yet to make his first team debut for the Black Cats, but has enjoyed loan spells at Boston United in 2015 and Accrington Stanley in 2017, with the latter cut short due to injury.

Stryjek has also been capped at u17, u18, and u19 level for the Polish national side.

Following Graham Stack’s retirement, he will wear the number 1 shirt.
