Warrington Town winger Jack Dunn is unlikely to play again this year due to a serious knee injury.

Dunn picked up the injury in last month’s FA Cup win at FC United of Manchester and scans have revealed a Grade Two medial ligament tear.

More frustratingly, the 24-year-old was hurt just 15 minutes after coming off the bench for his first appearance of the season having recovered from a calf injury.

Last season was also injury-plagued for the former England under 19 international as a series of troubles forced him out of key games, including the ‘super play-off’ defeat to King’s Lynn Town.
