Director Jon Adams has been appointed as the Maidenhead United’s first CEO in preparation for the start of their first Vanarama National League season.
Jon has been Director of Community Development for several years, and will start in his new CEO role with immediate effect.
Commenting on the appointment, Chairman Peter Griffin said: “The club has enjoyed huge success on and off the pitch in recent seasons culminating in promotion to the Vanarama National League. As we prepare for life at the highest level of non-league football, we are ensuring the club is able to meet the step up in terms of revenue, organisation, infrastructure and professionalism.
The success of the community scheme initiated by Jon, with over 700 children being coached weekly by Magpies in the Community, is testament to his ability to deliver great results and drive the club forwards.”
Peter Griffin, majority shareholder and Chairman, and Bob Hussey, Vice-Chairman, will both remain in their current roles. Manager Alan Devonshire, who recently signed a contract extension until the end of the 2020 season, will continue to report to Peter Griffin.
Reporting into Jon will be Sasha Bardwell (Commercial Manager), Mark Nisbet (Community Coaching Manager), Mark Stewart (Director, Ground and Matchday Operations), Jason Stewart (Ground and Catering) and Helen Preedy (Community Development Manager and Child Protection Officer).
