AFC Bridgnorth have announced the departure of head coach Pete Whitehouse.

Whitehouse took the reins at the West Midlands (Regional) League club after Graham Ward’s exit.

Chairman Mark Weale told the club’s website: “Pete took charge of us through some of our most challenging times as a club.

“Pete is a true professional who showed enormous resilience during the pandemic. On a personal level, I have enjoyed working with him and regret that things have not worked out as we both had envisaged.

“He will always be welcome here and we should like to thank him for his contribution and wish him well in the future.”
