AFC Fylde have said that manager Jim Bentley’s heart operation was a success.
The Coasters boss underwent double heart bypass surgery on Tuesday morning.
Having initially been transferred to the Intensive Care Unit for further observation, he has had all tubes removed and is currently recovering on the ward and making good progress.
The National League North club add: “The doctors are optimistic that he will be discharged from hospital in the next few days.
“We will continue to bring you updates on Jim’s recovery over the coming weeks. Everyone at AFC Fylde is delighted with the news and wishes him all the very best.”
