AFC Portchester have confirmed the departure of manager Mick Catlin.

Assistant manager Lee Molyneaux has also left the Wessex Premier Division club.

The team are currently 8th in the league table, with four wins and four defeats from their eight games this season.

A brief club statement reads: “The club would like to announce first-team manager Mick Catlin and assistant Lee Molyneaux have both been relieved of their duties. We would like to thank Mick and Lee for the all their efforts for seasons present and past.

“No further comment will be made.”

Chairman Paul Kelly added: “The decision as to who will be the next manager of AFC Portchester is a very important one and we want to get the right person who we believe matches our ambitions and has the skills and experience to take us there.”
