AFC Portchester’s new manager Dave Carter has praised the infrastructure at the club.

Carter was announced this week as the club’s new manager, leaving his role at Moneyfields as a result.

He told his new club’s website: “There’s a great structure behind the scenes here. The foundations and facilities off the pitch are great, we just need to get it right on the pitch now.

“I’m impressed by what I’ve seen so far. The chairman Paul Kelly is a straight-talking man, the vice-chairman Graeme Moir has been involved in local non-league football for a number of years, and I’ve met the financial director Trevor Deacon a few times now as well.

“I’m just keen to get us together on the football side of things as soon as we can when the Covid-19 restrictions will allow us.”
