AFC Rushden & Diamonds have confirmed the signings of Spencer Weir-Daley and Brad Harris.
Experienced striker Weir-Daley joins the club from Halesowen Town, having scored 14 goals in 23 games at Redditch United at Step 3 this season. He has previously played for local teams Kettering Town and Corby Town, where he scored 22 goals in 40 games and 27 goals in 47 games respectively. He has also played for Hednesford Town, Boston United, AFC Telford United and Notts County, having started his career at Nottingham Forest.
Brad Harris rejoins the club after finishing his contract with Rugby Town, the club he joined at the start of the season, and needs no introduction to the club having previously made over 200 appearances.
Manager Andy Peaks spoke of his delight in securing both signatures for the run-in: “I am thrilled to bring Spencer into the club, his record speaks for itself at this level, and I have no doubt he is just what we need for the last few weeks of the season.
“Brad was a “no-brainer” to welcome back to the club. He covers so many positions and we know all about him, and with the games coming thick and fast it is important to have depth in the squad to cover and in case of injuries we pick up along the way.”
