AFC Telford United boss Rob Edwards is in a positive mood despite having another game called off, stating: “It’s not all doom and gloom.”
The Bucks’ scheduled home clash with Spennymoor Town on Saturday was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. It was the ninth game – four at home, five away – Edwards’ relegation-threatened side have had fall foul to the weather this season.
On if the postponements have been the determining factor behind being in the National League North drop zone, Edwards said: “I’m not going to make excuses, we are where we are because we haven’t picked up enough points.
“The run we had in January didn’t help, and you add that up with the cancellations – we went from mid-table to bottom three very quickly. It’s not all doom and gloom, though.
“There are still plenty of points to play for and we can have a strong end to the season.”
