Rob Edwards insists the FA Cup is a welcome distraction for AFC Telford United ahead of their third qualifying round replay tomorrow night.

The Bucks are taking on Stafford Rangers at the New Bucks Head, after a 1-1 draw at Marston Road on Saturday.

They were set to find out today who they will face at the next stage – when National League teams enter – if they beat Boro.

“It is a massive opportunity for us to build on what we are trying to do,” said Edwards.

“We want the FA Cup in our lives, we want to go as deep and as far as we can in it.

“It is an amazing competition and one we want to try to do well in. It is very much needed.

“If the lads do well and get some attention, grab the headlines, that is great.

“But we do not want to be on the wrong end of the headlines, we know tomorrow will be a battle.”
