AFC Telford United skipper Shane Sutton has billed tonight’s clash with Leamington as ‘the biggest game of the season’.
It is a relegation six-pointer coming up at the New Bucks Head, with the hosts in the National League North drop zone and the Brakes three points above. Sutton joined the Bucks from Welsh Premier side Newtown last summer and is desperate for his debut season in the division not to end in relegation.
“It’s a must-win game, really,” he said. “All the lads are quite confident, and we have been like that all season. We are feeling good.
“Three wins from these last six games would take us to 50 points, I think, would almost definitely do it. That should be enough for us and you don’t want to leave it late, or leave anything to chance.
“It’s the biggest game of the season, for both teams.”
