Boss Rob Edwards is fully aware himself and his AFC Telford United players are fighting for their futures.

The Bucks are in a precarious position in National League North – third bottom, two points from safety, with eight games to go. They have a huge clash with Spennymoor Town at home tomorrow, hoping to pick up a positive result on the way to avoiding relegation.

“We are all fighting for our futures now, all of us,” said Edwards. “That’s how serious it is.

“Players are fighting for future contracts, whether that is with us or at another club. It’s the same for the Spennymoor players too, they’re desperate to prove themselves.

“Every time you step out onto the pitch you are being scrutinised, analysed by the fans and media – and people from other clubs, managers and scouts. The players know and us as staff know just how important all of our games are between now and the end of the season.”
