AFC Telford United hotshot Daniel Udoh has vowed to work harder in order to shake off the extra attention defenders are giving him, report the Shropshire Star.

Udoh has begun the season in blistering fashion for the Bucks, netting seven times in 10 games.

The 22-year-old is the joint-top scorer in National League North – but, because of that, is being man-marked.

“Teams are starting to watch us a bit more,” said Udoh, after being kept relatively quiet as Telford drew with Stockport at the weekend.

“They’re going to, with how well we’ve started. Teams are seeing that us, the strikers, are doing really well so they’re staying as tight as possible to us.

“It makes me want to work harder, so I can keep scoring.

“I know my target and I need to get my target so things like that just motivate me to work harder in training.”
