Assistant boss Sean Parrish insists AFC Telford United remain in high spirits despite their league position.

The Bucks are second from bottom in National League North and had their scheduled trip to Southport on Saturday postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. Telford have now had five games fall foul to the weather this season.

They are set to have six matches this month, mainly against sides in the bottom half, and Parrish said: “We’ve really got to get wins.

“We’ve had a tough run of games against the likes of Kidderminster Harriers, Salford City and Harrogate Town. But these games will be just as hard, if not even harder.

“There’s a good spirit in the squad. It’s been installed in the squad and the effort is always there.

“We need to do it in both boxes, that’s what it’s all about. We have to be clinical in both boxes.”
