AFC Telford United say the club have lodged an appeal to the The FA following Ellis Deeney’s red card at Chorley on Saturday.
The 27-year-old, who is the younger brother of Watford striker Troy Deeney, is available to play for Gavin Cowan’s side in tonight’s Vanarama National League North match with Altrincham. However, he will miss the next three games if the appeal is not successful.
The Bucks ended up earning a 1-1 draw in the away game with Chorley, but Deeney’s second-half dismissal caused some confusion. It is understood it was given for a stamp.
