Barrow AFC will be looking to extend the stay at Holker Street of midfielder Kemy Agustien, who has made a big impression since arriving at the club last month, The Mail report.

The 32-year-old Curacao international is currently signed on until January and has added some much-needed experience and knowhow in the middle of the park for the Bluebirds.

Agustien played the full 90 minutes of their 1-0 home victory over Maidstone last Saturday, which was his fifth appearance for AFC, coming one week after he scored his first goal for them, at Braintree.

He actually had a hand in their winning goal, although in truth that was down to a howler from Stones’ goalkeeper Ross Worner, who allowed Agustien’s tame effort from 25 yards to slip from his grasp.

Barrow manager Ian Evatt said: “We’d like to keep him, but it has to be right for both parties. We are having conversations and at the minute it looks positive, so fingers crossed we can get something over the line.”
