Aldershot Town have appointed Danny Searle as manager.
Searle joins from Braintree Town, where he managed the Iron for the second half of last season. He took his first steps into management in January, taking over a Braintree side at the bottom of the National League table.
In his 16 games at the club, they won six and drew one, which included wins over the play-off finalists Salford City and AFC Fylde, and a 0-0 draw at champions Leyton Orient on the final day of the season.
Braintree’s upturn in form wasn’t enough to keep them in the division and they were relegated along with the Shots, however, Searle leaves Braintree as a popular figure amongst Iron fans.
The 41-year old earned his UEFA Pro Licence this year.
