Aldershot Town have confirmed the permanent signing of Gerry McDonagh on a free transfer from EFL League One side Barnsley.
McDonagh had initially joined the Shots on a one-month loan deal in December, which expired on January 3rd. Following the expiration of his loan deal he was released by the Tykes.
The Irish forward joins on a deal until the end of the season and scored once in five appearances in his initial loan deal at the Shots. He goes straight into the squad to face Chesterfield next week.
