Aldershot have brought in Karleigh Osborne, Dan Holman and Jacob Berkeley-Agyepong.
Former Brentford centre-back Osborne joins from Grimsby Town. The 30-year-old told the club’s website:
“I’ve known the gaffer for a long time and I wanted to play for him. He’s a great guy and this is a great club to be at. He really showed me his passion and vision for the club, and where he wants go. Playing under a manager who’s got a lot of belief in me is a huge factor – he wants to help me improve, and I hope to repay that faith that he has shown in me.
“This is a club looking to go places and I’m really looking forward to the challenge. It’s going to be a tough season but one I’m really looking forward to. I’m experienced and I’ve played at a good level but I’m extremely hungry to get back on track. I’m not afraid to step back to go forwards again.”
Striker Dan Holman returns on a one-year contract. The 28-year-old, who made 18 appearances for The Shots in a loan spell from Colchester United in 2014-15, returns to the EBB Stadium following his release by Cheltenham Town.
“It’s brilliant to be back,” admitted Holman. “I really enjoyed my time here before, and now the team has evolved a lot. They’ve had a couple of really successful seasons, I’ve seen the way the team has played and I’m very happy to be a part of it.
“I’m really grateful to Gary Waddock and James Rowe for bringing me in, because I needed that fresh start and a fresh challenge. I’m feeling as good as ever, and am excited to be playing with the players here, so I hope that I can have a big impact.”
Former Crystal Palace winger Jacob Berkeley-Agyepong, 21, has enjoyed a successful trial at The Shots since being released by The Eagles.
“The club sold itself to me,” he said. “Everyone knows the gaffer, his personality and how he loves to help young players. On the first day of pre-season, I said ‘this is the right place for me, regardless of other opportunities in higher leagues’. For me to progress in my career, this is the right place for me.
“I’ve really enjoyed pre-season here, and feel that I’ve progressed, but I could do more. I can always improve. Now I’m raring to go, to get out there and show what I can do.”
