Aldershot Town have signed goalkeeper Mitch Walker, previously of Dover Athletic.
Walker had spent seven years at Dover after signing from Brighton & Hove Albion back in May 2012.
He played a solitary game for Brighton in their 1-0 League One victory over Yeovil Town in the 2009/10 season. He spent time on loan at Eastbourne Borough and Welling United whilst at the Seagulls and helped Dover gain promotion from the National League South during his lengthy stay at the club.
The Shots have also signed 21-year-old midfielder Ethan Chislett from Southern League Premier Division South side Metropolitan Police.
Originally playing for the Shots Academy until the age of 15, he joined the Police’s youth system where he was a member of their successful side that made the FA Youth Cup 4th Round back in 2016.
He eventually broke into their first team and enjoyed a highly successful 2018/19 campaign, helping the Police reach the FA Cup 1st Round against Newport County and set up the winning goal in their 4th Qualifying Round shock over National League side Havant & Waterlooville.
Metropolitan Police finished 3rd last season with Chislett playing a key part from midfield. They just missed out on promotion to the National League South after their extra time Play-Off Final defeat to Tonbridge Angels, in which Chislett scored a stunning opener.
