Derby County defender Alex Cover has joined Alfreton Town on a one-month youth loan.
The Under-23 centre-half signed his first pro contract with the Rams in March 2016 and has featured for Darren Wassall’s academy side during an impressive start to their Premier League 2 campaign.
Cover has now opted for senior football and has joined neighbours Alfreton, who currently ply their trade in National League North.
