Alfreton Town have completed the signing of defender Elliot Green on loan until the end of the season from Vanarama National League side Guiseley.

Green began his career at Lincoln City in 2012, before spending time at various non-league sides including Stamford, Sheffield FC and Grantham Town. He moved to Sweden in 2014 with Ånge IF, before moving to Gällivare Malmbergets FF and Sollefteå GIF FF in 2015.

Green then signed with United Soccer League side Whitecaps FC 2 in February 2016 where he made 11 appearances before making the switch back to England with Guiseley in December 2016 and signed a new deal with the Lions in June 2017. Green has made eight appearances for the Lions.

Reds boss Chris Moyses said: “We are pleased to have Elliot with us, it gives us good competition for places and another option at the back. He is a left-sided centre-half and will provide us with nice balance and cover at the back.

“He will be available for selection on Saturday.”
