Ian Allinson has challenged the St Albans City players to have no regrets when the season finishes in April.

Saints have moved into fourth in the National League South table following impressive victories over East Thurrock United and Dartford. And with just points covering the top eight places in a league that no one team has taken control of yet, the City boss wants his side to finish the campaign strong.

He said: “We’ll have hiccoughs on the run-in but we’ve got to stay positive and first and foremost we’ve got to make the playoffs.

“I’ve said to the players don’t let go of what you’ve got here. Don’t look back at the end of the season and wish we’d done this or that.”
