Altrincham are a National League club again after beating Boston United in today’s National League North play-off final.

The Robins were last in the fifth tier in 2016, suffering successive relegations before a turnaround under Phil Parkinson. The 2017/18 Evo-Stik Premier champions made the National League North play-offs last season, but Alty were beaten in the semis by Chorley on penalties.

This time around, the celebrations are all theirs, after Parkinson’s side went to Boston United and won the final 1-0. The winning goal came from Dan Mooney on 64 minutes.
