Altrincham assistant manager Neil Sorvel has spoken of the fine margins currently holding the Robins back.

Starting the month with a win over Woking, Phil Parkinson’s side have since drawn with Hartlepool United and Woking, as well as suffering single-goal losses to Aldershot Town and Dagenham & Redbridge.

Sorvel told the club’s YouTube channel: “It’s symptomatic of how it’s going for us at the minute.

“We’re getting on the wrong side of these tight games too many times.

“Hopefully we can turn that around on Tuesday night (against King’s Lynn Town). We’ll keep working hard as a group and we’ll stick together to see where we can get to this season.”
