Cheshunt will hold a public exhibition next Monday as they look to move into a new stadium.
The club have unveiled plans to move to a new home that will form part of a Sports Village and the club believe the move is “intended to benefit local people, with the provision of a variety of facilities for use by local schools, sports clubs and other groups”.
In a statement released on their website they said:
“LW Developments Ltd and Cheshunt Football Club will be holding a public exhibition on Monday 18th July to discuss the proposals for the construction of a new stadium for Cheshunt FC and associated sports, leisure and community facilities.
“Cheshunt Sports Village is intended to benefit local people, with the provision of a variety of facilities for use by local schools, sports clubs and other groups. It will also ensure that the Football Club has a viable long-term future, and that it will be able to continue to compete and improve on the pitch. The development will be funded by the construction of new housing and apartments. We are working towards the submission of a planning application later in 2016.
“The open evening will be at the Football Club, between 4pm and 7pm on Monday 18th July. This is intended to be an opportunity for you to view our emerging proposals, and to discuss them with the team preparing the planning application.
“We will then consider all of the comments that we receive before finalising the application. We wish to create an attractive and well-considered development, designed with sensitivity to the needs of local residents and stakeholders, and we would value your thoughts.
“If you are not able to attend the exhibition, you can contact the club Chairman and director of LW Developments, Dean Williamson, by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org, or write to us at the club address: Cheshunt FC, The Stadium, Theobalds Lane, Cheshunt, Herts. EN8 8RU”
