Following the arrival earlier today of forward Devante Rodney, Salford City have signed Bristol Rovers striker Rory Gaffney.
Graham Alexander’s side have paid an undisclosed fee to Rovers for the 28-year-old and he signs a three-year deal with the Ammies. The Irishman began to make his name back home with Limerick before a 2015 switch to Cambridge United.
The signing could be seen as quite a coup for Salford, preparing for their first season in the fifth tier and with well-documented EFL ambitions. Gaffney played 48 times last season for League One Rovers, scoring seven goals.
