After news of Kane Haysman’s ACL injury earlier this week, Margate have confirmed that influential right-back Chris Sessegnon will be out for the rest of the season, as he requires surgery on a long-term knee injury.
It’s another bitter blow for manager Steve Watt.
“We’ve been without Sess for a good few months now. We thought we had reached a more positive conclusion earlier on in the season but unfortunately he will require surgery and won’t feature for us again this campaign.
“Sess is a huge loss for us. He’s a great personality to have in and around the dressing room and when we were starting the season, looking at our back five line-up including Pidge (keeper Lenny Pidgeley), we looked very strong.”
