Hampton & Richmond Borough have outlined their stance over the outcome of the current season.
Chairman Jacques Le Bars has explained as part of a statement:
“Unfortunately, it has become apparent that there will be no positive change in the funding situation, and if anything, the landscape has become even more unclear with regards to the proposed loan schemes and their validity within the constitution of the National League itself. After the three or four years of hard work put in to stabilise the club financially, it would be remiss of us as custodians to immediately saddle it with a long-term debt commitment, purely to complete a season which, in our opinion, is now beyond salvation.
“Therefore, I would like to advise you that we have now submitted a response to the League as follows:
- Resolution 1 – For ( N & S to have right to vote separately from National)
- Resolution 3 – For (ending the N & S seasons)
- Resolution 4 – For ( N & S block voting for end of season for all 3 leagues, in the event of the rejection of Resolution 1)
Effectively this means that we are voting for a null and void season. This is a head over heart decision and one which we should never have been facing.”
